After a good long think, I finally decided to delete my Facebook account. There was just too much criminal activity happening both on the platform and by the company itself.
Facebook allowed hate speech that incited ethnic violence in Myanmar. Super heinous.

Every few days a new article appears with Facebook’s latest crimes. It feels good to no longer be a part of them.

My social media footprint now solely consists of Instagram. This is ironic, since Instagram is owned by Facebook, which its two founders recently left. Why would they leave, hm?
There is no equivalent to Instagram. But I have high hopes for SmugMug’s acquisition of Flickr. They seem like trustworthy people. I wonder if they’ll make a nice Instagram alternative?
