PHOTO DIARY.
We went to see Kraftwerk at the Greek Theater tonight. Four old German guys standing on a stage behind laptops, barely moving? Playing for a crowd of aging techno fans like me? Awesome.
After playing some of their beloved favorites, including songs about vitamins...
 ...numbers...
 ...computers...
 ...and pocket calculators...
...a series of strange figures appeared from behind stage...
...for a fantastic round of The Robots. It didn't occur to me that I was wildly applauding a quartet of slow-moving mannequins.
Then the real Kraftwerk emerged, this time wearing their trademark Tron wireframe suits to finish the night with Music Non Stop. The few young ones in the audience were already up and dancing—their elders yelled at them to sit the hell down. Like I said, awesome.
