BACK TO BOSTON.
I just got back from visiting Boss-town over the weekend for a wedding. Boston: 30 degrees in the shade, full of brick, and still under construction. Mostly, me and Nicki drank with the old gang: the ditherdogs, the longview folks, not to mention Wendy, Gregg, and little Cadence. Of course Cadence didn't drink. She's only 7 months old.
The nice thing was: I froze my ass off. My metabolism has slowed back to its native Californian levels.
EVERYTHING THAT HAS A BEGINNING HAS AN ASS.
Saw Matrix revolutions a few days ago, on opening night at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, and the best thing about it was not the movie itself but the fanboys waiting in line with us. The Matrix Fanboy: take a coder, IT person, or tech support male, aged around 30, preferably Asian in descent; dress them in black and force them to remain stone-faced while wearing sunglasses at night.
As for my critical verdict, it's pretty much along the lines of this article on Slate.
Sigh. Oh well, okay.
